Upcoming Performances

The Inadvertent Rascal
June 26 and 27, 2010
3:00pm

The world premiere of a play about Darius Hicks, who founded Vishnu Springs. Hicks was born into a wealthy and prominent McDonough County family in 1850. He married three times; the final marriage was to his stepdaughter. Hicks committed suicide at age 58, citing as cause the likely association of his name with a scandal as a result of his housekeeper's pregnancy. Is it possible Hicks could have been a likable and sympathetic character? The Inadvertent Rascal explores that possibility.

The Inadvertent Rascal was penned by Macomb's own Sue Zendt. It's being performed in conjunction with the annual Heritage Days festivities in Macomb. It promises to be more memorable and less fattening than a funnel cake.

Tickets are just $5 at the door. Show times at 3:00pm each day. Proceeds will benefit Vishnu Springs and the WCI Arts Center.
